We’re a place for designers who care about doing things well.</p> </p> <p><strong>About the role </strong></p> <p>We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to own design for one of our product areas. You'll join a small team of product designers led by our Director of Product Design, and you'll be embedded in a squad with a product manager and several engineers.</p> <p>Half of our product is used by recipients who never chose us, so the experience has to be self-evident. The other half is a powerful dashboard and API used by everyone from mom-and-pop shops to Google. With one designer per squad, you'll have direct ownership of the experiences you ship.</p> </p> <p><strong>What you'll do</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Craft rational, elegant, and intuitive interfaces.</strong> We care about implementation ease as much as we care about pixel-perfection.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Own the content.</strong> Designers at Tremendous own the product copy in their designs.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Strategic influence.</strong> Contribute to the team’s vision, planning, and roadmap.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Contribute to our design system.</strong> Consistency is a big part of usability, especially for a financial platform. We aim to leave the system better than we found it.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Document heavily.</strong> We're an async, international team. Your Notion docs and Figma files should give anyone clear context, constraints, and options without a meeting.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Use AI throughout your workflow.</strong> Research, prototyping, and iteration. We expect designers to prototype with AI tools and bring working artifacts to the team.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Help raise the bar.</strong> Push forward and maintain a high design bar and level of execution.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Design for a diverse set of recipients</strong>, with accessibility and internationalization in mind.</p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Collaborative design.</strong> Work closely with PMs, Engineers, and others.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>What you'll bring</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>8+ years of product design experience.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience at a startup or fast-moving product company.</p> </li> <li> <p>A portfolio demonstrating functional, simple, and delightful user interfaces.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven experience building and improving design systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience using AI tools in your design workflow, including prototyping (v0, Claude, Cursor, or similar).</p> </li> <li> <p>The ability to handle ambiguity.
